On 5th June, hundreds of people helped turn our simple idea into something real.

The music mattered, but what people loved most was the feeling of being in a room where everyone was there for the same reason.

To share a moment with a couple of hundred strangers who become friends.

That’s what Connect is about and we’re doing it all again on 6th Nov!

Our first Connect night at Canvas felt like something special.

The people in the room weren’t just guests – they became the founders of our wee community.

JOHNNY CHRISTIE

Into: Soulful house with strong vocals and piano — the kind that makes you feel something.

Loves: Getting lost in it on the dancefloor — when you stop feeling anything except the music.

Not into: Rushing through tracks — let it breathe, let it build. A long mix always wins.

Off the decks: Long dog walks, early nights and being bankrupted by the kids. Rock’n’roll.

THE LASER GUY
Ross Cameron

Into: Disco, funky house, and anything with a proper groove.

Loves: Heading to the bar and somehow coming back with new pals.

Not into: When everyone’s facing the booth instead of each other.

Off the decks: You’ll find him laser cutting in his workshop.

On 6th Nov: He’ll be picking things up & pushing it forward—bridging the gap as the night builds.

LACKSTER
Ian Lackie

Into: The filthier edge of house: rolling basslines, hypnotic grooves, real attitude.

Loves: A proper journey—steady build, rising tension, visuals that elevate the whole experience.

Not into: Phones on the dancefloor—if you’re filming it, you’re not really feeling it.

Off the decks: By day he’s a coder—running on coffee and questionable decisions.

On 6th Nov: He’ll be pushing the energy right up as the night peaks and keeping the dancefloor full..
